Plans for 1,300 new homes in Ripon, North Yorkshire

Land at Claro and Deverell barracks in Ripon is to be re-developed to offer 1,300 new homes and commercial space, Homes England and the Ministry of Defence, MoD, have announced. Harrogate borough council's economy and culture director, Trevor Watson, said the authority's local plan consultation had highlighted more high-quality and affordable housing was needed in the Ripon area. Planning appeal assignments speeded up to four weeks

Refurbishment Finance News:- Planning appeals are being assigned to an inspector within four weeks compared with an average of 13 weeks last year, but house builders have warned that local councils are still overloaded. New buyer interest rises for the first time in 20 months

Edinburgh house price growth sluggish in June

Northern Ireland shows 5.2 per cent house price rise for June
