Short Term Finance:- Google UK Limited has submitted an application for the development of new Google offices at the site Kings Cross, Britannia Street, Camden Town, London, WC1X9BP. The construction will cost an estimated amount of £700M. The application has been awarded subcontract, but the detail approval planning is still pending. The entire privately funded project has been categorized as Brownfield Site Project.

This construction of this project will begin in the first quarter of 2018, and it will cover an estimated floor area of 92903 square meters. 1 structure will be erected on the ground, comprising 11 storeys above the ground level, while featuring 2 storeys below the ground level. Upon completion, this development will become Google’s HQ. The development will feature open floor spaces, entrance lobbies with elevators, cafes, kitchens, retail units, staff training centres, fitness and gym centres, multi-use game area, running track, swimming pool and various other amenities.
Argent Group is acting as the associated developer for this project. Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio has been assigned the role of the lead architect for the project, and he will be joined by architects from BDP Head Office, Bjarke Ingels Group and All Clear Designs Limited. LDA Design and Gillespies LLP are joining the project as landscape architecture firms. The position of Quantity Surveyor will be filled by AECOM and Gardiner & Theobald Limited Head Office.
The services in the field of Mechanical and Electrical engineering consultancy will be provided by Akelier Ten and GBE Services, while AKT 2 will join the project as Structural engineering consultants. The consultancy services for Sustainability will be provided by Hilson Moran Partnership. The lead contractor for the entire project is Lendlease Construction (EMEA) Limited, and the framing subcontractor is Serverfield PLC Head Office.
